Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Head of Projects to lead delivery within a Business Unit and develop a high-performing team. The role emphasizes safe delivery, on-time project completion, and adherence to budget and quality standards.

You will build a robust pipeline, direct bids and proposals, and cultivate client and partner relationships to achieve the annual financial plan while upholding CBRE governance and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or similar (desirable).
• Degree in Project/Construction Management, engineering or architecture (desirable).
• Proven track record of safely delivering projects in M&E, FM, construction or critical environments.
• Experience developing new project opportunities.
• Proven experience running a P&L.
• Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team.
• Experience creating, presenting and managing bids, tenders and proposals.
• Technically savvy with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Outlook.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Business literacy and numeracy.
• Excellent relationship builder with the ability to influence and inspire confidence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe delivery of projects through risk management and competent delivery.
• Recruit, retain and develop talent for present delivery and future growth.
• Identify and specify project opportunities and lead bid development.
• Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts.
• Complete projects on time, within budget and to stakeholders’ satisfaction.
• Identify and manage risks across projects (technical, safety, regulatory, commercial).
• Maximise profit through cost reductions and smarter subcontractor buying.
• Develop long-term opportunities by building a pipeline of projects.
• Lead the projects sales process through solutions development and presentations.
• Build strong client and site-team relationships to exceed financial plans.
• Negotiate contractual obligations and disputes upstream and downstream.
• Chair project review meetings covering Health & Safety and financials.
• Support onboarding of new project team members.
• Report to Business Unit Leader/Director and participate in strategy discussions.
