Job summary

Four Peaks Building Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead on-site activities for commercial construction contracts in Scottsdale, AZ. The role coordinates with Project Managers and field personnel to deliver projects on time, budget and with quality.

This salaried, market-based position requires 5–7 years in commercial construction, strong documentation and communication skills, and a focus on safety and collaboration with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections meet the project schedule.
• Maintain site safety and enforce company safety policies.
• Budget, forecast, and manage field personnel and costs.
• Prepare work plans and temporary facilities for the project.
• Review plans, specifications, and manufacturer data and execute project per documentation.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Manage overall project and 3 week look ahead schedules.
• Generate RFIs to clarify project documents and resolve discrepancies.
• Review submittals for compliance with project manuals and codes.
• Conduct preconstruction planning and on-site meetings with subcontractors and trades.
• Supervise subcontractors and field crews on-site.
• Maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage site work and logistics of the construction site.

Four Peaks Building Group, LLC. is looking for an experienced Project Superintendent for commercial construction contracts. The ideal candidate will be motivated and team orientated to help support a project team on a wide variety of construction projects. The Project Superintendent will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well work with project teams including Project Managers and Field Personnel and other office personnel, to deliver successful projects to owners, on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Compensation: Salaried, market based + candidate experience

Schedule: 8 hour regular shift but longer hours may be required depending on various circumstances

Job Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.


• Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.


• Work with the project teams to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other cost considerations.


• Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities for the project.


• Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation.


• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.


• Manage the overall project and 3 week look ahead schedules, including creating and maintaining the master schedule.


• Generate RFI's (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identifying and clarifying any discrepancies.


• Review submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer's recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system.


• Conduct preconstruction planning.


• Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel.


• Manage and supervise subcontractors and work crews for all work performed on-site


• Work with the project team to maintain relationships with owners, visitors, subcontractors and suppliers.


• Manage site work and logistics of construction site.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience within the field of commercial construction.


• B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience.


• Must have good documentation skills and be proactive in resolving issues quickly


• Intermediate computer skills with experience in MS Office, MS Project and Procore (a plus).


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.


• Understand construction language, plans, materials, and methods and ability to communicate effectively within the construction environment.


• Current AZ driver's license and insurable driving record.
