Mobile Modular is a business that sells and leases relocatable and permanent modular buildings. As a Construction Project Specialist (Construction Project Engineer) with Mobile Modular, you will be working within the Custom Modular Solutions (CMS) Division, and the Pre-Construction Department to assist the team with preparing project estimates and proposals as well as helping project managers deliver projects on time and within budget.

"What You’ll Do"
  • Review bid documents and analyze bid technical data, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform basic project plans take-off.
  • Assist with generating bid documents for various project trades.
  • Obtain quotes from subcontractors and analyze them.
  • Estimate project costs and present to upper management.
  • Work with the sales team to prepare proposals.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
  • Help with buyouts and issue purchase orders.
  • Assist project managers with drafting and maintaining project schedules.
  • Generate product data submittals and RFIs.
  • Interact with project managers to address their needs and requirements.
  • Ensure documentation between subcontractors and project administration is collected and processed on time, with updated drawings provided to the field team.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members.
  • Manage project change orders between Project Manager and Owner.
  • Prepare closeout documents including As-Built Drawings and Warranty Documentation.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, adaptable to change and competing demands.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively, with excellent prioritization skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • 1-2 years of construction-related experience.
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays.
  • A valid driver’s license.
"Nice to Haves"
  • Experience as a project engineer is a plus.
  • Modular building industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field.

The specific pay rate and level will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location.
