Job summary

Muth Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and maintain project submittals and create schedules that support timely procurement, installation, and labor forecasting for construction projects.

You will align engineering, procurement, and field operations with milestones, monitor schedule impacts from design changes or procurement delays, and help develop recovery plans to minimize disruption to critical path activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain submittal logs and tracking systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams to collect and submit shop data and drawings.
• Review schedules to ensure submittals and approvals align with milestones.
• Support the project manager in creating and maintaining schedules.
• Sequence construction activities with project team to identify critical path items.
• Develop detailed milestone schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Ensure schedules include long lead and critical path items.
• Assist with project submittals: gather shop drawings, coordinate with estimators, verify submittal spec sections.
• Track long-lead materials and release them timely to meet project delivery.
