Job summary

SpawGlass is seeking an Project Safety Assistant to support field safety efforts across construction sites. You will assist project teams with daily inspections, documentation, training support, and hazard-prevention activities to keep jobsites safe and compliant.

You will work with superintendents, PMs, trade partners, and field crews to identify hazards, maintain records, and reinforce company and OSHA requirements. This role is hands-on and field-focused.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction safety preferred.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily safety inspections and documentation.
  • Support safety trainings and orientation sessions.
  • Identify hazards and support corrective actions on site.
  • Maintain safety records and reinforce OSHA requirements.
  • Assist in incident investigations and safety culture improvements.

Job description

As our Project Safety Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting field safety efforts across our construction projects. You will assist project teams with daily inspections, documentation, training support, and hazard‑prevention activities to help maintain safe, well‑organized, and compliant job sites.

You will work closely with superintendents, project managers, trade partners, and field crews to identify hazards, support corrective actions, maintain safety records, and reinforce company and OSHA requirements. This role is hands‑on and field‑focused, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset in dynamic construction environments.

Experienced Project Safety Assistants may take on greater responsibility in conducting safety talks, leading portions of site orientations, aiding incident investigations, and contributing to continuous improvement in project safety culture.

Successful team members in this role are observant, dependable, eager to learn, and committed to promoting a safe and productive jobsite for everyone involved.

Your Skills
  • Some experience in construction, safety, or related field preferred, but strong candidates with high motivation and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of construction activities and typical jobsite hazards.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced field environment and support multiple jobsite needs.
  • Ability to walk job sites, observe work, and support safety tasks throughout the day.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field is a plus.
