Job summary

Jobot in California seeks a dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up multifamily projects from initialization to closeout. You will oversee multiple sites across San Diego County, Greater Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, and the Central Valley, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of PM experience, OSHA 10

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Strong scheduling and budgeting abilities.
• Experience with contract administration and change orders.
• Ability to manage RFIs and submittals.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to execution.
• Prepare and negotiate project terms and contracts; ensure clear scope.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, and WBS.
• Develop financial reports to track progress against budget.
• Manage changes, risks, and quality control.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring safety and standards.
• Coordinate submittals and ensure timely submissions.
• Communicate with clients to meet needs and expectations.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth company in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of taking high-level objectives and converting them into actionable, measurable tasks. They will be responsible for managing a variety of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Sacramento Region
• Central Valley

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
• Prepare and negotiate the terms of all project agreements and ensure all parties understand both the scope and limitations of the contract.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including but not limited to, project schedule, budget, and work breakdown structure.
• Develop and maintain project financial reports to track the progress of the project against the budget.
• Manage and respond to project changes, risks, and quality control issues.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
• Directly communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations and to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Implementing and ensuring compliance with OSHA 10 safety regulations.
• Effectively manage project change orders and RFIs.
• Coordinate and manage project submittals and ensure all documents are accurate and submitted on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Current OSHA 10 Certification is REQUIRED
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience in project estimation and scheduling.
• Proficiency in contract administration, change order management, RFI management, and submittal management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, including OSHA 10 safety regulations.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
