Job summary

Blum is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to provide overall management direction for existing projects and to develop new opportunities within a defined client base, geographical area or project type.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree or equivalent, 5+ years in construction/finance management, strong cost accounting knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Travel, flexible hours and occasional overnight trips are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a four year engineering degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Five or more years of construction, design, and finance management experience.
• Strong cost accounting, Excel and Word knowledge.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills; able to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions with guidance from senior PMs.
• Set project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Coordinate with client and subcontractors to facilitate construction.
• Monitor project progress to keep schedule and budget on track.
• Represent the company in project meetings and strategic planning.
• Oversee financial aspects of contracts to protect interests.
• Supervise on-site superintendents and operations staff.
• Uphold Blum Best Practices on site.
• Ensure safety and continuous improvement through site reviews.
• Encourage teams to be more productive, trained, and safety-conscious.
