Job summary

Rainbow Restoration in Greenville, SC is seeking a Repair Project Manager to lead residential and commercial reconstruction after water, mold, fire, and storm losses. This hands-on role blends project management, field leadership, and coordinating subcontractors to deliver on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments while guiding teams through challenging recovery projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, restoration, or disaster recovery.
  • Xactimate experience preferred.
  • Strong PM and leadership experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and complete residential and commercial repair projects on schedule.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and materials.
  • Monitor progress, timelines, budgets, and profitability.
  • Ensure safety compliance and quality workmanship.
  • Lead field operations and provide site support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and updates.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.

This role oversees projects from initial scope through final completion while ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations are successfully met.This is a highly hands-on role that combines project management, construction oversight, estimating, subcontractor coordination, customer communication, and field leadership.The ideal candidate is comfortable both leading projects and stepping into the field to support demolition, repairs, installations, punch work, and quality control efforts when needed.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and complete residential and commercial repair projects on schedule and above industry standardsManage projects from initial walkthrough through final completion and customer satisfactionDefine project scope, timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and deliverables in coordination with leadershipBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teamsCommunicate project expectations, updates, and timelines clearly and professionallyManage multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentIdentify project dependencies, critical path items, and potential roadblocks proactivelySchedule project milestones, inspections, subcontractors, and material deliveriesTrack project progress, timelines, budgets, and job profitabilityProactively manage changes in project scope and develop solutions to maintain project successWrite, review, and audit estimates to ensure accuracy and identify deficienciesPerform hands-on field work including demo, repairs, installations, punch work, and job site support when neededHire, coordinate, and manage subcontractors while negotiating costs and ensuring budget alignmentConduct frequent job site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and safety complianceEnsure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and company standardsOrder materials and verify timely delivery to support project timelinesMaintain accurate job documentation, reports, notes, and communication updatesProvide timely updates regarding job progress, issues, and operational challenges to leadershipParticipate in on-call rotation and emergency response efforts as business demands requirePerform additional duties and operational support as neededRequirements & SkillsExperience in construction, reconstruction, restoration, or disaster recovery industries preferredXactimate and Time & Materials experience preferredWorking knowledge of restoration estimating software preferredProject management and personnel leadership experience preferredStrong understanding of residential and commercial construction processesAbility to lead teams while also remaining hands-on in the fieldExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to prioritize shifting workloads and deadlines effectivelyCustomer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skillsPositive attitude with strong leadership and accountabilityNot afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirtyValid Driver’s License with safe driving recordAbility to pass a drug test and background screeningAbility to lift and/or move up to 100 poundsWhy Join Rainbow Restoration?At Rainbow Restoration, we believe in investing in our employees and creating long-term career opportunities.
