Job summary

Andersen James Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale, mission-critical data center projects from design through commissioning. The role demands a technically strong project leader with extensive data center construction experience, capable of managing budgets, schedules, quality and project documentation.

The position offers remote work flexibility with travel to project sites across multiple regions as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data centre construction project management experience.
• Owner-side experience is essential — candidates who have managed projects for owners or developers.
• Engineering background or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with greenfield builds and major phased expansions.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning and critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Procore and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Proven budgeting, contract administration and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of construction projects from planning through handover.
• Manage schedules, budgets, financial reporting and change orders.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, GC, subcontractors, OEMs and vendors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and MEP scopes for compliance.
• Lead procurement: RFPs, bid evaluations, contractor selection and negotiations.
• Monitor progress via site visits, meetings and stakeholder reporting.
• Identify risks, resolve issues and drive corrective actions to timelines.
• Oversee QA, health and safety and adherence to design standards.
• Manage project documentation, scheduling tools, and change management.
• Coordinate testing, start-up, commissioning and transition to operations.

About the Role

We're seeking an experience Construction Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale, mission-critical construction projects, from pre-construction planning and design through construction, start-up and commissioning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong project leader with extensive data center construction experience , capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining control of budgets, schedules, quality and project documentation.

The role offers remote working flexibility, with travel to project sites across multiple regions as required. Candidates can be fully remote with travel or be based in Dallas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting through execution, commissioning and final handover.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, financial reporting, change orders and overall project performance.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, OEMs and specialist vendors.
• Review drawings, specifications, engineering packages and MEP scopes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Lead procurement activities, including RFPs, bid evaluations, contractor selection and contract negotiations.
• Monitor construction progress through site visits, inspections, progress meetings and regular stakeholder reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines.
• Oversee quality assurance, health and safety compliance, and adherence to established design standards.
• Manage project documentation, scheduling tools, reporting processes and change management systems.
• Coordinate testing, start-up, commissioning and the transition of completed facilities to operations teams.

What you need to succeed

• 10+ years of data centre construction project management experience.
• Owner-side experience is essential — applications are sought from candidates who have managed projects on behalf of an owner or developer.
• Engineering background or equivalent technical experience.
