Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development of all assigned projects from inception through close‑out, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Direct and manage outsourced construction management firms, architectural firms, and general contractors, collaborating with department architects, resource accounting and support staff.
  • Coordinate scheduling of vendors, monitor progress, and provide progress reports through internal project management software and reporting structures.
  • Manage the team assigned to departmental projects, including Project Management, Cost Control, Technical Advisory Staff, and other support roles.
  • Participate in entire project evaluation and development, making appropriate recommendations to department managers and project managers concerning cost, scheduling, and construction issues.
  • Manage work of department staff on all new projects—including Support Specialist, Project Coordinators, Planner/Designer, Interiors staff, Signage/Wayfinding, and MAs—ensuring effective budgeting and operational feedback.
  • Initiate and participate in productivity and quality improvements, including benchmarking with other facilities and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare, review and monitor budgets and all project dollar expenditure financial performance.
  • Ensure project compliance with all Medical Center policies, OSHPD policies, OSHA requirements, federal/state/local regulations and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Communicate with customers in a positive and professional manner, serving as part of both design and construction teams and collaborating with Facilities Management and other internal departments to improve customer service.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updating of project data in CSMC project management and as‑built plan systems.
  • Establish effective working relationships with cross‑functional teams and cultivate strong customer relationships with partners and client groups.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to internal and external customer needs using available resources.
Qualifications
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in the construction and renovation of health care facilities, with proven ability to administer all phases of health facility construction.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or other related field preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
