Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a motivated Project Manager Intern to join our team for the summer. You will assist PMs with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, submittal reviews, billing, and site visits.

ARCO offers a competitive hourly rate, housing stipend if needed, ESOP eligibility, end-of-term performance bonus, and a path to a full-time position after graduation. You will be directly engaged with leaders and participate in formal reviews and training.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or Co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings; receive and evaluate proposals and award subs.
• Permitting – Fill forms, submit drawings and fees, and obtain approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – review and communicate orders to subcontractors.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure smooth project operation.
