Job summary

Harris Company is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern in Rayville, LA for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across estimating, setup, contracts, and permits, then oversee safety, purchasing, submittals, and RFIs during construction. Closeout includes manuals and warranty records.

Eligible students are pursuing Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with strong math, analytical, reading construction docs, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong interest in a construction industry career and project management.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Demonstrated proficiency in math and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Job activities: Estimating, Job Setup, Job contracts, Permits and insurance certificates.
• During Construction: Safety, Purchasing, Submittals, tracking materials & equipment, productivity tracking, change orders and RFIs.
• Job Closeout: O&M manuals, as-recording drawings and warranties.
