Harris Company is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from pre‑job activities through closeout, applying classroom lessons to real construction tasks.

The role emphasizes reading construction documents, math and analytics, teamwork, and strong communication. You will assist in estimating, purchasing, safety, submittals, RFIs, and project closeout documentation while learning from seasoned

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong interest in construction and project management.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Demonstrated math and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication in a team setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with estimating and pre-job setup activities.
• Prepare permits and insurance certificates.
• Support safety, purchasing, submittals and tracking materials/equipment.
• Monitor productivity, change orders and RFIs.
• Assist in project closeout including O&M manuals and as-record drawings.

Job Description:

Note: This internship is for Summer 2027

Your role as a Construction Project Manager Intern

Our mission is to provide college students with on the job experience and knowledge of the construction process. As a Project Manager intern you will be given hands on opportunities to turn classroom lessons into real life skills in the construction industry.

Throughout the internship, you will have expose to all aspects of a project, start to finish, including the following:

Pre-Job:

• Estimating
• Job Setup
• Job contracts
• Permits and insurance certificates

During Construction:

• Safety
• Purchasing
• Submittals
• Tracking materials & equipment
• Productivity tracking
• Change orders and tracking
• RFIs

Job Closeout:

• Project closeout O&M manuals
• As-recording drawings and warranties

What we’re looking for in you

• Must be a current student working toward degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents
• Demonstrated proficiency of math and analytical skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication while working in a team environment

Pay Range:

$21.37 - $32.05

The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
