Job summary

Wolverine Construction, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee commercial construction projects from design through closeout. The role requires proactive leadership, effective communication across on-site and remote teams, and diligent management of schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and other project management tools.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, project management, and financial acumen.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from design through closeout, delivering on time and within budget.
• Build relationships with owners, subs, design teams, superintendents, and staff.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and financial reporting with transparent updates.
• Serve as the primary contact for project teams and clients, communicating clearly and strategically.
• Identify and resolve design, construction, and scheduling issues.
• Engage in business development by supporting proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
• Travel frequently to projects throughout Southeast Michigan; occasional trips to Grand Rapids for training and collaboration.
• Embrace SOPs quickly and make an immediate impact on your project teams.
