The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Manager for the Nebraska Business Unit serving the Omaha metro area. The role manages multiple projects, leads teams, and ensures quality, safety, and financial performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of commercial construction and a degree in a related field, with proficiency in PM software and Microsoft Office. We offer growth, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least five years of commercial construction experience including project management.
• Proven ability to lead, teach, develop and mentor staff.
• Industry-related college degree required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project schedules, address long lead items, and update plans as required.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings and risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
• Ensure the safety plan is communicated to the team and subs.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts and manage buy-out.
• Detect constructability issues and ensure work stays within contract scope.
• Oversee staff development, assignments, and promotions.
