Job summary

Mortenson seeks an experienced Project Manager I to lead complex projects with focus on quality, schedule and safety. The role involves mentoring the project team, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional service and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
• Minimum six years of related previous experience
• Understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Experience in commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
• Strong customer service and professional attitude
• Current driver's license
• OSHA 30 Certification

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
• Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders
• Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback
