Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial design-build projects across retail, office, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors in the Greater Chicagoland Area.

You will own the full project lifecycle, coordinate with field teams, manage budgets and schedules, and build lasting client relationships while upholding safety standards. This role offers leadership tracks and equity potential for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on the GC side of commercial construction
• Experience across retail, office, industrial, hospitality, or mixed-use project types
• Strong command of budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or comparable construction management tools
• Excellent communicator with a client-first mindset
• High integrity, humility, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle — preconstruction, buyout, scheduling, execution, and closeout
• Serve as the primary owner-facing contact throughout the project
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor scopes
• Lead RFI and submittal processes, change order negotiation, and cost reporting
• Coordinate closely with superintendents and field teams to maintain schedule and quality
• Uphold and model the firm's safety standards on every project
• Build lasting client relationships that generate repeat business
