Job summary

Certerra in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Construction Services to lead geotechnical and testing projects across government, commercial, residential, and transportation sectors.

You will manage schedules, budgets, field testing, and documentation, coordinate with clients and staff, prepare reports, and ensure safety and quality on site. North Carolina PE license preferred; Bachelor's in Civil Engineering preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• NC PE license preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience with Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and quality of work.
• Support proposal generation and business development.
• Manage daily field testing and inspection activities performed by staff.
• Review of daily field reports prepared by technician and/or inspectors.
• Coordinate scope and pricing changes with the Client, with involvement of the Construction Services Department Manager.
• Prepare summary reports and other formal documentation.
• Assist in preparing project proposals and statements of qualifications (SOQ).
• Work with clients to ensure projects are meeting their goals and needs, then communicate necessary adjustments to management, teams, and owners.
• Provide project and site management of geotechnical projects to ensure worksite and projects safety.
• Ensure accurate client invoicing and reporting.
