Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a Project Manager for a data center project in Boydton, VA, responsible for profitable administration and field construction activities, while maintaining stakeholder relationships and quality standards.

Role requires leadership, adherence to company policies, and ability to work 58 hours per week (Mon–Sat). Travel/relocation may be required based on project needs, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction project management experience.
• Electrical experience highly preferred.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring others.
• Data center experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specs and standards.
• Lead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsite.
• Lead project safety per Safety Policy.
• Collaborate with Project Manager(s) to manage schedule, budget and staff.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule with two-week look-ahead planning.
• Assist with buyout and selection of major subs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve schedule/quality.
• Ensure project docs are accurate and timely (closeouts, logs, submittals).
• Review and enforce all contract terms and obligations.

EPI Power is hiring a Project Manager to be responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards, while maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on a data center project in Boydton, VA. The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership by following company standards and policies, achieving shared goals, developing others, and building high morale and commitment.

This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday – Saturday, 58 hours per week.

What You’ll Do:

• Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specifications and standards
• Lead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsite
• Lead project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy
• Work alongside the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule, budget and staff
• Develop and maintain the project schedule utilizing scheduling software; prepare two-week look ahead schedules
• Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors
• Recommend ways to reduce cost, improve schedule dates, decrease project scope and improve the quality of the project
• Ensure project documents are accurate, timely and in compliance (i.e. closeout documents, submittals, daily logs, etc.)
• Review and enforce all contract terms and obligations
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Experience:
  • 3+ years of construction project management experience required
  • Electrical experience highly preferred
