Job summary

AlphaGov in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial interior construction from award to closeout. You will manage scheduling, budgets, procurement, field operations, subcontractors, and client communication to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality.

The role requires 3+ years of PM experience in interiors, proficiency reading drawings, and hands-on leadership using Procore or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of project management experience in commercial interior construction.
• Experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring or related finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through completion and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and execution strategies.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and scope documents to confirm requirements and identify issues.
• Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor financial performance including budgets, forecasting, labor productivity, billing, and cost control.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and other docs.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and long-lead-item procurement to keep schedules.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with owners, architects, general contractors, and internal teams.
• Identify risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Support field operations with materials, information, and resources needed to work efficiently.
• Coordinate with estimating and operations for smooth handoffs and execution.
• Oversee punch-list, warranty items, turnover, and final closeout.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial interior construction
• Experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior finish projects is required
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
• Proven ability to manage projects from startup through final closeout
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, labor management, change orders, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, general contractors, and clients
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
