Job summary

Associated Drywall Partners in Indianapolis seeks a Commercial Division Project Manager to own project performance from estimating to closeout. You’ll drive value engineering, select subs, manage budgets, and maintain client relationships while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a BS in Construction/Engineering/Architecture or 10 years of drywall experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore and OST Takeoff.

Qualifications

  • BS in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or 10 years of Commercial Drywall Construction experience.
  • Understanding of Metal Stud framing Installation
  • Understanding of Acoustical Ceiling Systems
  • Understanding of Drywall Installation
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, Procore, and OST Takeoff Software.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned projects, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, progress billing, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
  • Participate in scope review meetings with clients to discuss scope and value engineering ideas.
  • Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and field leadership to staff and sequence projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, address variances early.
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
  • Use customer input and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong client relationships from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Manage project closeout, punch lists, final documentation, and warranties.
  • Act with integrity in support of the company and client expectations.

  • Use customer input and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement, and make necessary changes to meet or exceed internal and external client expectations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, serving as a primary point of contact from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, building codes, and safety regulations on all projects.
  • Manage project closeout, including punch list completion, final documentation, and warranty turnover.
  • Act with integrity in a manner that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting or exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
