Job summary

gpac is seeking a Project Manager in Hialeah to lead ground-up commercial construction from preconstruction through closeout, focusing on light industrial, warehouse, retail, medical and office projects.

The role requires 5+ years of GC PM experience, tilt-wall or light industrial exposure, and strength in scheduling, cost control, and contracts. Procore, MS Project/Primavera P6, and Bluebeam are preferred; a related degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience with a general contractor.
• Tilt-wall or light industrial project experience preferred.
• Projects typically $5M–$40M.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and contracts.
• Experience with Procore, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equal experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality from start to finish.
• Lead buyout: prepare bids, compare bids, negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with owners, developers, architects, and engineers through design, submittals, and RFIs.
• Track costs, handle change orders, and prepare forecasts and pay applications.
• Work with superintendents on site logistics, safety, and schedule.
• Build strong client relationships for repeat work.
• Mentor project engineers and assistant PMs.

About The Role

We're a growing commercial general contractor with a long track record across the Southeast, and most of our work comes from repeat clients. We're hiring a Project Manager in Hialeah to run ground-up commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll work on light industrial and warehouse buildings, big-box retail, medical facilities, and office projects.

What you'll do

• Manage your projects' budgets, schedules, and quality from start to finish
• Lead buyout: put together bid packages, compare bids, and negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders
• Coordinate with owners, developers, architects, and engineers through design, submittals, and RFIs (requests for information)
• Track costs, handle change orders, and prepare monthly forecasts and pay applications
• Work closely with superintendents on site logistics, safety, and getting the work done on schedule
• Build strong client relationships that lead to repeat work
• Mentor project engineers and assistant project managers

What you bring

• 5 or more years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience with tilt-wall or light industrial projects, which is a big plus. Retail, medical, or office experience is also valuable.
• Experience running projects from about $5M to $40M or more
• Strong skills in scheduling, cost control, and contracts
• Comfort with Procore, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Bluebeam
