gpac is seeking a Project Manager in Jacksonville to lead ground-up commercial projects including light industrial, warehouse, retail, medical, and office builds. You will oversee budgets, schedules, quality, and safety from preconstruction through closeout, while mentoring junior staff and building repeat client relationships.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of GC PM experience, a construction management degree, and proficiency in Procore, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management with a general contractor.
• Experience with tilt-wall or light industrial projects is a big plus.
• Experience handling projects from about $5M to $40M+.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and contracts skills.
• Proficient in Procore, MS Project/Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.

About the role

We're a growing commercial general contractor with a long track record across the Southeast, and most of our work comes from repeat clients. We're hiring a Project Manager in Jacksonville to run ground-up commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll work on light industrial and warehouse buildings, big-box retail, medical facilities, and office projects.

What you'll do

• Manage your projects' budgets, schedules, and quality from start to finish
• Lead buyout: put together bid packages, compare bids, and negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders
• Coordinate with owners, developers, architects, and engineers through design, submittals, and RFIs (requests for information)
• Track costs, handle change orders, and prepare monthly forecasts and pay applications
• Work closely with superintendents on site logistics, safety, and getting the work done on schedule
• Build strong client relationships that lead to repeat work
• Mentor project engineers and assistant project managers

What you bring

• 5 or more years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience with tilt-wall or light industrial projects, which is a big plus. Retail, medical, or office experience is also valuable.
• Experience running projects from about $5M to $40M or more
• Strong skills in scheduling, cost control, and contracts
• Comfort with Procore, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Bluebeam
• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equal experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
