Job summary

Rice Companies is seeking a Project Manager for our Glencoe, MN location. The PM collaborates with engineers, architects and customers to define project specs and serves as the primary customer contact.

You will negotiate with subcontractors to reach profitable agreements while meeting financial projections, scheduling, quality, and safety goals. Responsibilities include bid package prep, estimating, coordinating pre-construction meetings, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Four year construction management degree or equivalent.
• 7–10 years demonstrated construction project management experience.
• Timberline/Sage 300 Estimating and Procore experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepares estimates and project budgets using Rice Companies software.
• Generates approved estimates for customer contracts.
• Coordinates pre-construction meetings with customers and subcontractors.
• Reviews and implements schedules with job superintendents.
• Ensures materials and resources are delivered timely.
• Ensures subcontractors comply with Rice Companies requirements.
• Maintains project schedules and budgets to meet timelines and costs.
• Reviews costs to job weekly and approves subcontractor/vendor billings.
• Meets weekly with job superintendent to identify and resolve issues.
• Reports project progress to Production Management.
• Handles change order requests with customers and subcontractors.
• Supports project cost adjustments with customers to secure changes.
• Oversees project completion and punch list.
• Stays in contact with customer to ensure satisfaction.
• Participates in and promotes Rice Companies Safety Program.
