Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in Liberty, South Carolina, to lead multiple construction projects from planning to close-out.

The role requires supervision of crews, coordination with engineers and clients, and strong cost and schedule management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will manage subcontractors, monitor safety and quality, and maintain excellent relationships with inspectors, customers, and the public to support the company’s image.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of civil engineering and/ or project management

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction operations on assigned projects to meet schedule and budget.
• Monitor project status and propose improvements in crew size, methods, and value engineering.
• Track costs and yields; alert for adverse changes.
• Coordinate change orders with engineers and clients.
• Evaluate plants, schedules, salaries, equipment, quality control, safety, and customer relations.
• Develop progress, monthly and weekly schedules; coordinate crews and subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure readiness and compliance with specs.
• Maintain relations with engineers, inspectors, public and clients to promote company image.
• Review daily reports for accuracy; monitor purchase orders and deliveries.
• Know local ordinances and obtain permits as needed.
• Work with contract admin on monthly billings and verify quantities.
• Maintain contact with clients about payments and collections.
• Check and approve invoices; prepare AR information.
• Review monthly cost reports and cash flows with scheduling coordinator.
• Support safety, productivity, and cost-control efforts; train and develop staff.
• Participate in employee evaluations and pay discussions.
• Cooperate with HR and risk management on safety programs and toolbox meetings.
• Lead marketing efforts from leads to drawings; secure proposals to award; liaise with clients for repeat business.
• Consult division manager on issues and perform duties as directed by VP.
