Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to efficiently manage multi-project scopes including private, public, heavy highway, structures, and asphalt.

Responsibilities include scheduling, labor, materials, subcontractors, change orders, cash flow, and client coordination to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. The role requires directing operations, monitoring costs, negotiating changes, and maintaining strong relationships with engineers, inspectors, and customers while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction project management or related field.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting and subcontractor management skills.
• Knowledge of safety, quality control and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction operations on assigned project(s) to meet time and budget targets.
• Monitor project status and suggest improvements in crew sizing and methods.
• Track costs and yields; respond to adverse variances.
• Coordinate with engineers to price change orders and with clients on design changes.
• Evaluate plant, schedules, salaries, equipment and quality control regularly.
• Develop and align progress schedules and coordinate with crews and subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractor performance meets specifications and policies.
• Maintain good relations with clients, engineers, inspectors and the public.
• Review daily reports and verify accuracy of documentation.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery tickets and routing to inspectors.
• Ensure compliance with local ordinances and permit requirements.
• Collaborate with contract admin for monthly billings and cost reporting.
• Support personnel development, safety, and adherence to company policies.
• Engage in regular discussions with the division manager about project issues.
