Job summary

Plant Construction Company, L.P. is a San Francisco–based general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and IT skills with at least five years of project management experience on challenging construction projects.

Reports to the Operations Manager and is a full-time exempt position. Salary range is $130,000 to $160,000, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 5+ years of construction-related experience.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera 6 for scheduling.
• Experience with Sage Timberline, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-construction activities as needed.
• Act as liaison with client, architect, consultants, and the Department of Building Inspection.
• Interface with site supervisors and implement innovative construction methods.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules.
• Prepare project documents – change orders, subcontracts, meeting minutes, notices, etc.
• Coordinate with onsite contractors in planning stages and utility connections.
• Monitor subcontractors and performance.
• Manage cost changes and forecast financial results accurately.
• Review submittals, materials, and critical deliveries.
• Maintain quality control and production efficiency.
• Ensure site safety procedures are followed.
• Provide feedback on production costs to Estimating.
• Develop market research for product design alternatives within budget.
