Job summary

BOWA Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day management of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality while fostering strong client, design team, and subcontractor relationships.

The role requires coordinating trade scopes, driving team collaboration, and delivering exceptional client service on high-rise projects in a dynamic urban environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project management, with involvement in high-rise projects.
  • Familiarity with vertical construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day management of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards while fostering strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. The Project Manager takes ownership of assigned projects and trade scopes, drives team collaboration, and delivers exceptional client service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
  • Lead the daily planning, execution, and coordination of assigned construction projects.
  • Establish project setup, including administrative processes, documentation, and project controls.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project execution plans.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance.
  • Monitor project schedules and implement recovery plans when necessary.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including owner turnover and final documentation.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preconstruction & Procurement
  • Support preconstruction activities, including planning and constructability reviews.
  • Develop scopes of work for trade packages.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, bidding, evaluation, and award processes.
  • Execute subcontract agreements and issue Notices to Proceed.
  • Coordinate permits, insurance requirements, and project compliance documentation.
Cost & Schedule Management
  • Monitor subcontractor cost performance and productivity.
  • Review and process subcontractor and owner pay applications.
  • Maintain accurate project cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Ensure project milestones and schedule commitments are achieved.
Quality & Safety
  • Take ownership of project quality and safety performance.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
