Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Team in the Taylor office. Candidates must have a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, at least ten years of experience, and GLWA experience preferred.

The role covers liaison with clients, site visits, proposal development, budget/schedule control, and mentoring staff. The firm encourages professional development within a flexible hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of related engineering or construction management experience required.
  • PE is preferred but not required.
  • GLWA experience preferred.
  • Strong people and team-building skills with ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison with the client and stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent client relations.
  • Conduct field site visits.
  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing.
  • Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Manage resources to deliver project on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Coordinate construction engineering and administration with team members including designers.
  • Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks.
  • Generate additional sales through business development activities.
  • Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings.
  • Assist with project reports and technical presentations.
  • Attend client, staff and project meetings.
  • Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

  • This position should have strong people and team building skills in order to effectively communicate with clients and other staff. This person should also be highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing.This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities.
