New Opportunity!! Construction Project Manager

NES Fircroft is actively seeking an experienced Construction/Project Manager for an exciting contract opportunity with our client, a major supplier and manufacturer in the Green Cement Industry! This position will be a full-time contract role, candidates can be based anywhere in the USA but must be open to frequent travel to project sites nationwide.

This position will be responsible for Construction Management activities at our client's project sites, including leading and managing contractors, engineers, and vendors from project inception through commissioning and startup. Candidates must have a background in Cement/Concrete Manufacturing or Industrial Material/Minerals Handling to be considered a fit for this position.

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager with a strong background in the Cement Manufacturing, Mining, or Bulk Material Handling industries. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and executing capital and maintenance construction projects—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all phases. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field experience and an ability to manage multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines in industrial environments.

Note: A degree in Engineering is preferred but not required. Practical experience and industry knowledge are highly valued. Candidates must be open to frequent travel to construction sites throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction projects from concept through commissioning for cement manufacturing, mining, and material handling facilities.
  • Oversee contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and schedule/budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define project scopes, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Perform site inspections and provide technical oversight during project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure projects meet environmental, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and services in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Report on project status, metrics, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, safety, and cost performance.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of project management experience in heavy industrial construction, preferably in the cement, mining, or bulk material handling sectors.
  • Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, equipment installation, and site logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Familiarity with concrete batching, kilns, crushers, conveyors, storage silos, and related equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and standard office tools.
  • Engineering degree preferred but not required—technical acumen and field experience will be strongly considered.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Candidate can be based anywhere in the USA, but this position will require frequent travel to project construction sites throughout the country.
