Job summary

Futura is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead full-lifecycle delivery of utility and site construction for large data-center programs in Shreveport, LA. You will partner with the Senior PM and field team to drive preconstruction through turnover on multi-year engagements.

You will own schedules and budgets, contact clients, coordinate field teams, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims while supporting BIM coordination and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in utility construction, heavy civil, or infrastructure project management (2 years ideal for data-center exposure).
• Strong familiarity with schedules and cost control tools (Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Experience managing multiple projects in a design-build environment; solid contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout in a design-build environment.
• Build and manage total, interim, and look-ahead schedules.
• Own project budgets: cost tracking, forecasting, and cost control.
• Be the primary client contact on large, mission-critical sites.
• Coordinate superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors on labor, equipment, and materials.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims.
• Support constructability reviews and coordinate design information with BIM and design teams.
• Identify risks early and protect schedule and budget.
• Run closeout: punch lists, final documentation, and turnover.
• Champion a strong safety culture.

Our client is a premier design-build site and underground utility contractor with a long record of mission-critical work. They're in the middle of a $65M+ data center build in Shreveport, with 1.5 years of work still ahead, and a 3-year utility installation program for another data center is lined up behind it. That gives you years of work on large, visible projects, with the kind of experience data center owners and GCs now look for.

You'll own full-lifecycle delivery of utility and site construction projects, from preconstruction through client turnover, alongside the Senior PM and a strong field team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years in utility construction, heavy civil, or infrastructure project management (about 7 years is ideal)
• Data center or mission-critical exposure (about 2 years ideal)
• Large-project experience ($10M+ preferred)
• Experience managing multiple projects at once in a design-build environment
• Strong command of schedules and cost control, using Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project
• Solid contract management skills, including change orders and claims
• Working knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites

A strong plus: underground utility methods, BIM coordination (understanding it, not building models), permitting and environmental compliance, PMP, OSHA 30, and client negotiation or business development support.
