As a company formed by the Yurok Tribe's Prey-go-neesh (California Condor) Board, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality construction projects with precision, maintaining strong relationships, and consistently meeting time and budget requirements.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with mandatory government contracting experience to join our team and lead complex government construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in general contracting operations, including managing subcontractors, coordinating trades, and overseeing all aspects of construction project delivery. Additionally, they should possess a strong background in government contracting with a proven track record of successful project delivery in both sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of general contracting principles, construction methodologies, and government procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with government contracts, specifications, and regulations
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Coordinate with government agency representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members
• Oversee project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Implement and maintain quality control programs
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
• Monitor and report on project performance metrics
• Manage project risk and develop mitigation strategies
• May mentor and supervise project team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5-7 years of experience managing government construction projects
• Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget
• Mandatory government contracting experience
• Strong understanding of government contracting procedures
• Experience with project management software and MS Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification
• Experience working with government entities
• Knowledge of 8(a) program requirements
• OSHA 30-hour certification, OSHA 40, and EM 385
• Experience with sustainability and environmental compliance in construction
