Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee project execution, financial performance, and client relationships in Fort Lauderdale. The role requires 6+ years of experience in commercial construction with mechanical/HVAC project exposure preferred.

Responsibilities include budgeting, procurement, scheduling, supplier coordination, and field oversight. Travel across South Florida and occasional site visits are expected; PMP preferred and a degree in CM/CE or related

• Ownership of project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Understanding of building codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Availability to work from Davie and travel frequently throughout South Florida.

Commercial Construction Project Manager

An expanding commercial mechanical and HVAC contractor is adding a Project Manager to oversee project execution, financial performance, and customer relationships. This opportunity suits a construction professional who enjoys solving field challenges, coordinating teams, and taking responsibility for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Strong commercial construction experience is essential, with mechanical and HVAC project experience especially valuable.

What You’ll Be Doing

Translate drawings, specifications, and contract requirements into project plans and milestones.

Own budgets, cost tracking, procurement, and subcontractor expenditures.

Coordinate design partners, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams to keep work moving.

Monitor schedules and resolve risks affecting project delivery or profitability.

Visit job sites to verify workmanship, safety, and compliance.

Lead project meetings, communicate with clients, and document RFIs, submittals, and changes.

What We’re Looking For

6+ years of relevant construction experience and a track record of managing commercial projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated ownership of project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

Working knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Understanding of building codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Effective client communication, team coordination, and risk resolution skills, with availability to work from Davie and travel frequently throughout South Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering mechanical, HVAC, or specialty construction projects.

PMP or another relevant project management certification.

Strong proficiency with scheduling and project management software.
