Green Key Resources has partnered with a growing commercial construction firm in the Greater Philadelphia area to recruit an Assistant Project Manager. The role focuses on supporting project managers across healthcare, medical office, higher education, multifamily, retail, and other commercial sectors.

You will gain hands-on experience in coordination, documentation, scheduling, cost control, and client communication while working with a close-knit team and senior leadership in a local, occupied

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project execution.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract administration.
  • Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and budget information.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain schedules and resolve project issues.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and track action items and follow-up.
  • Support quality control, project closeout, punch lists, and final turnover.
  • Take on increasing project responsibility with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role.

Green Key Resources has partnered with an established and growing Construction Management firm in the Greater Philadelphia market on their search for an Assistant Project Manager.

Projects: Healthcare, Medical Office, Higher Education, Multifamily, Retail, Hospitality, Interiors, and General Commercial

This is an opportunity to join a smaller, collaborative construction management firm with a strong reputation throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. The company manages a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, with a significant presence in healthcare and medical construction, including technically complex renovations, fit-outs, and occupied environments.

Projects are primarily located throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, allowing the team to maintain a strong local presence with limited travel. The company offers a close-knit environment where employees have direct exposure to senior leadership, project teams work collaboratively, and Assistant Project Managers have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as they grow.

The APM will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the full project lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience across project coordination, documentation, subcontractor management, scheduling, cost control, and client communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare, medical, commercial interiors, higher education, multifamily, retail, or other commercial construction projects is a plus.
  • Ground-up, renovation, and/or interior fit-out experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both project management and field teams.
  • Motivated to grow professionally and take on increasing project responsibility.
