  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction interiors.
  • Experience on large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, luxury residential or similar projects.
  • Read architectural drawings and finish plans, elevations, specs, and shop drawings.
  • Strong scheduling, procurement, lead times, and field installation knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and client expectations.
  • Proficiency with PM software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end interior finish projects from preconstruction through turnover.
  • Review drawings, finish schedules, specs, elevations for scope and constructability.
  • Develop and maintain project and procurement schedules and critical-path activities.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Manage procurement, submittals, samples, approvals, lead times, fabrication, delivery and installation.
  • Track budgets, commitments, change orders, purchase orders, and forecasted costs.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure clear stakeholder communication.
  • Identify and resolve potential schedule, cost, quality, and coordination issues early.
  • Coordinate field conditions and installation with project teams to achieve design intent.
  • Maintain rigorous quality-control standards for luxury interiors.
  • Oversee punch-list, closeout, deficiencies, and final turnover.
  • Review shop drawings, product data, finish samples, mock-ups and installation details.
  • Ensure work complies with contract docs, approved finishes, schedules and quality expectations.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and closeout records.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-end interior finishes for large-scale multifamily and mixed-use developments throughout the Philadelphia market.

This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone who understands the complexity of high-end interiors and can manage projects from preconstruction and procurement through installation, punch, and final turnover. The ideal candidate brings strong experience coordinating architects, designers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and ownership teams while maintaining the highest standards for quality, schedule, budget, and execution.

Projects will include sophisticated interior finish packages across apartment units, amenity spaces, corridors, lobbies, club rooms, leasing centers, and other high-visibility areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-end interior finish projects from preconstruction through completion and turnover.
  • Review architectural and interior design documents, finish schedules, specifications, elevations, and details to identify scope, coordination, and constructability issues.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement schedules, installation sequencing, and critical-path activities.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, ownership groups, subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Manage material procurement, submittals, samples, approvals, lead times, fabrication, delivery, and installation.
  • Track project budgets, commitments, change orders, purchase orders, and forecasted costs.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among all stakeholders.
  • Identify potential schedule, cost, quality, and coordination issues early and drive them toward resolution.
  • Coordinate field conditions and installation requirements with project teams to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Maintain rigorous quality-control standards appropriate for luxury residential and hospitality-inspired interiors.
  • Oversee punch-list development, closeout, deficiencies, and final turnover.
  • Review shop drawings, product data, finish samples, mock‑ups, and installation details.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents, approved finishes, project schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, procurement logs, and closeout records.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners while holding teams accountable for performance.

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction, interior finishes.
  • Experience working on large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, luxury residential, hospitality, or similarly complex commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction and finish coordination.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, trades, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, finish plans, elevations, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, lead times, and field installation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and client expectations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with common project-management and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
