Job summary

Boyd Jones Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, applying disciplined execution and strong communication.

You will manage cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor relations, using Procore, MS Office, and scheduling tools such as P6 or MS Project, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement, and documentation.
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software (P6 or MS Project).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout with aligned scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Own cost control, forecasting, change management, and reporting.
  • Set clear expectations with subcontractors and maintain professional relationships.
  • Make data-driven decisions to manage risk and escalate issues early.

What You’ll Be Accountable For
  • Delivering Projects Right — The First Time. You will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality are aligned and executed with precision.
  • Managing Financial Performance. You will own cost control, forecasting, change management, and reporting.
  • Holding the Standard With Subcontractors. You will set clear expectations, enforce commitments and follow through, address challenges constructively, and maintain strong, professional working relationships.
  • Managing Risk Before It Becomes a Problem. You will make and advocate for decisions that are based on data, not assumptions, maintaining a high standard of quality and escalating concerns early in the process to protect the project and the client.
