Job summary

The ReWork Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager for high-end, ground-up residential and commercial projects in NYC. You will lead strategy, cost, schedule, design coordination, and on-site execution from preconstruction through closeout.

You’ll manage budgets, bids, and subcontractor scopes, ensuring design intent, quality, and regulatory compliance with NYC agencies. BIM, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 6+ years of ground-up construction experience.
• Proven track record leading complex projects valued at $100M+ in NYC.
• Deep understanding of luxury interior construction and base building integration.
• Experience with BIM coordination and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout across ground-up residential builds.
• Own cost and schedule: develop budgets, cost estimates, and schedules; monitor performance.
• Run design coordination meetings and on-site construction activities; preserve design intent.
• Drive value engineering while maintaining architectural integrity and project quality.
• Control procurement: manage bid processes, subcontractor selection, scope drafting, and negotiations.
• Navigate NYC agency compliance (DOB, FDNY) for permits and inspections.
• Lead technical execution: supervise superstructure, MEP coordination, façade/curtain wall, and interiors.
• Leverage BIM and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam) for detailing, takeoffs, and clash detection.

This is the seat where design ambition meets construction reality. From preconstruction through closeout, you lead strategy, execution, coordination, and accountability across complex ground-up builds. What You’ll Do

• Lead the lifecycle. Drive project planning, strategy, and execution from preconstruction through closeout across ground-up residential builds.
• Own cost and schedule. Develop detailed budgets, cost estimates, and schedules — continuously monitoring performance and adjusting to maintain alignment with project objectives.
• Run coordination. Lead design coordination meetings and on-site construction activities, ensuring design intent is preserved throughout execution.
• Drive value engineering. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining architectural integrity and overall project quality.
• Control procurement. Manage bid processes, subcontractor selection, scope drafting, and negotiations to ensure clarity, completeness, and budget discipline.
• Navigate compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for NYC agencies (DOB, FDNY, etc.), ensuring permits, inspections, and regulatory processes move without delay.
• Lead technical execution. Oversee superstructure systems, MEP coordination, façade and curtain wall assemblies, specialty contractors, and high-end interior finishes.
• Leverage technology. Utilize BIM coordination and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam) for detailing, takeoffs, and clash detection.

What Makes You a Fit

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 6+ years of experience in ground-up construction with a large General Contractor or Engineering firm.
• Proven track record leading complex residential or commercial projects valued at $ 100M+ in NYC.
• Deep understanding of luxury interior construction and base building integration.
• Technical expertise across superstructure systems, MEP coordination, façade/curtain wall assemblies, and specialty trades.
• Experience with BIM coordination and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Strong working knowledge of NYC building codes, permitting, and regulatory processes.
• Demonstrated ability to draft detailed scopes of work and manage full trade sourcing.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Strong leadership presence and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
