Job summary

LaRosa Building Group LLC in Connecticut seeks a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to oversee projects typically sized around $5 million. The role requires interfacing with clients, A/E representatives, and subs, and to plan, staff, and monitor on-site progress to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related management experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and produce an exceptional project.
• Ability to plan ahead and extinguish potential issues before they become issues.
• Experience managing commercial projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $25,000,000.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical data, interpret construction drawings, architectural drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors and consultants.
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions.
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project schedule with Superintendent to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Maintain project log and documentation files.
• Implement quality control programs.
• Foster productive relationships with clients and subcontractors/suppliers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilitieswillincludebutnotlimitedtooverseeingthetotalconstructionefforttoensureprojectisconstructedinaccordancewithdesign,budgetandschedule.Theprojectmanagerwill:

• Establishprojectobjectives,policies,proceduresandperformancestandardswithinboundariesofcorporatepolicy
• InitiateandmaintainliaisonwithprimeclientandA/EContactstofacilitateconstructionactivities.
• Managefinancialaspectsofcontracts(feepayment,rentalequipment,income/expenses,etc)toprotectthecompany’sinterestandsimultaneouslymaintaingoodrelationshipwithClient.
• Havetheabilitytotrackandmanagefinancialstandingoftheprojectsundertheirsupervision
• Maintainofficialprojectloganddocumentationfiles.
• CultivateaworkingrelationshipwithClientsandSubcontractors/Suppliersinamannerthatencouragesacooperative,teameffortandprofessionalapproach.
• ServesasaliaisonbetweentheOwner,Architect,Engineer,ContractorandSubcontractortoresolvequestionsand/orconcernsarisingduringthecourseofconstruction.
• Reviews,plansandscheduleswithProjectSuperintendenttoobtainpersonnel,materialandequipmentneedsandsubcontractorperformanceinamannerconsistentwithscheduledrequirements,budgetedcostandtimelydeliveries.
• EnsurethatSafetyregulationsandSafepracticesarefollowedatalltimes.
• HoldweeklyjobprogressmeetingswithOwnersandSubcontractorstocoordinateprojectprogress.
• MaintainaccurateAs-Builtdrawings.
• ImplementQualityControlProgram.
