Job summary

MCL Construction is seeking a Project Manager based in Kearney to lead commercial projects across central Nebraska. You will own projects end-to-end, drive schedules, budgets, and quality, and build a trusted team of superintendents, owners, and architects.

In this role you will manage contracts, cost controls, and reporting, while proactively communicating with stakeholders. If you are accountable, collaborative, and relentlessly thorough, this is your opportunity to grow with a growing office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural preferred).
• 8+ years of commercial construction experience, with 3+ years in a Project Manager role.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects is a strong plus.
• Strong command of budgets, contracts, and project controls.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with GMP and CMAR delivery methods is a strong plus.
• You lead with accountability you own outcomes, not just tasks.
• Detail-oriented and disciplined; cost and schedule are never an afterthought.

Your Day-to-Day

Lead Projects End-to-End

Build and Align Your Team

Partner closely with superintendents, owners, architects, and internal teams to keep everyone moving in the same direction. Manage contracts, cost controls, documentation, and reporting with precision. Hold stakeholders accountable and communicate proactively no surprises.

Grow the Business

Build and strengthen client relationships across Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings, North Platte, and the broader central Nebraska market relationships that drive repeat work and long-term partnerships. Represent MCL as we grow our presence in central Nebraska help shape the reputation and culture of an office thats just getting started.

The Right Fit
