Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. seeks a Project Manager in our National Accounts Facilities department. This on-site role at our corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS, requires a Construction Management degree and at least three years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Assistant PM.

You will review plans, manage budgets, and coordinate with contractors and vendors to meet schedules. Successful candidates will excel in communication, problem-solving, and diligence, with strong Excel/Procore

Qualifications

  • Construction Management degree with 3+ years as a Project Engineer or Assistant PM.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with bidding, RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, site safety, Procore.
  • Mechanically minded with strong math and bid accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability for intermittent travel.

Responsibilities

  • Review plans and specs to determine materials, order items, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Direct activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Present information to managers/clients and communicate findings to teams.
  • Coordinate project tasks and forecast needs with sound judgment.
  • Follow procedures to manage projects on time and under budget.
  • Monitor projects to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Track submittals and job materials for accuracy.
  • Develop solutions to execution challenges as they arise.
  • Maintain project files for complete and billable records.
  • Collaborate with partners and service teams on SLAs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward customers and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

DH Pace Company, Inc., is hiring for a Project Manager in our National Accounts Facilities department! This role is located on-site at our corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS! Successful Project Managers ensure construction project objectives are met by specified dates and within budget by partnering with general contractors and managing submittals, plans, and specifications. We are seeking candidates who have a Construction Management degree with at least three (3) years of work experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Construction Assistant Project Manager for a construction company, sub-contractor, or Owners Representative.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Review construction project plans and specifications to determine materials needed, ordering materials, operate within customer specified budget parameters, and working with outside vendors to coordinate schedules and installs

  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within the budgeted scope; review status reports prepared by staff and clients and providing updates as needed

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and effectively communicate the technical findings of technicians to our clients and customers

  • Must be able to master project coordinating and problem solving by using good judgment and forecasting

  • Follow administrative procedures and processes for the management of projects on time and under budget

  • Monitors and reviews all projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met

  • Monitor submittals/track job materials

  • Determine innovative solutions to any/all problems concerning execution of jobs

  • Help maintain job files by gathering information to ensure projects are completed and billed accurately

  • Work with our strategic partners and internal service team in establishing and adhering to service level agreements

  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward customers and fellow employees regardless of the circumstances

  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Job Qualifications:



  • Construction Management Degree with at leastThree (3) years' experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Construction Assistant Project Manager for a construction company, sub-contractor, or Owners Representative.

  • Candidates will need to have a high attention to detail and enjoy a fast-paced work environment that is very deadline focused

  • Familiarity with the construction process from bidding, RFI, submittals, contracts, change orders, site safety/mgmt., progress meetings, Procore, and project closeout.

  • Mechanically minded or inclined

  • Strong mathematical ability; must verify bids for accuracy

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Excellent communication, customer relations, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability for intermittent travel.
