Job summary

International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle from order entry through production and delivery, ensuring accurate fabrication and on-time shipment.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams, manage schedules, control costs, and ensure documentation is complete in ERP/PM systems, delivering exceptional service across pre- and post-production phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • 2–7 years of customer-facing project management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate drafting, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet schedules.
  • Create and manage order entries with accurate quantities.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals; provide feedback.
  • Develop project schedules and track milestones from order to delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation in ERP and PM systems.
  • Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries on status.
  • Support procurement with sourcing and scheduling of materials.
  • Prepare job files and closeout packages.
  • Monitor costs and material usage to ensure profitability.
  • Lead internal meetings and customer calls with updates.
  • Identify and resolve production or delivery issues to minimize delays.
  • Support customer platforms, workflows, and reporting requirements.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Project Manager with a strong background in building products and project management workflows. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from order entry through production and delivery—ensuring all components are manufactured, documented, and delivered accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at cross-functional coordination, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction throughout both pre- and post-production phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand project scope, specifications, and system requirements
  • Lead coordination across drafting, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to align production with installation timelines
  • Create and manage order entries, ensuring accurate material quantities and specifications
  • Review and interpret shop drawings and submittals, providing feedback as needed
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones from order entry through delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation of communications, schedules, change orders, and deliverables within ERP and project management systems
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding order status and project updates
  • Support procurement with sourcing and scheduling of materials
  • Prepare job files, documentation, and closeout packages for delivery
  • Monitor project costs and material usage to ensure profitability and efficiency

Qualifications

  • PMP certification required

  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with successful project delivery
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (architectural, structural, and specifications)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements
