Job summary

PDM in Des Moines is seeking a Project Management Intern to work with our estimating and project management teams. The internship offers hands-on exposure to long-range production scheduling, bidding opportunities, and the sales order process while learning core industry practices.

You will assist in project administration tasks, attend meetings, take minutes, review contract documents for scope, and help maintain project files.

Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency and basic drafting/reading of drawings.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam for markup and takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Understand long-range production schedule and its relation to sales.
• Learn bidding opportunities via Plan Room and assist pricing.
• Learn sales order process and perform tasks as needed.
• Navigate drawings and specs relevant to the business.
• Assist with outside vendor pricing efforts.
• Attend project meetings, take minutes, and support handoffs.
• File documents per document control and coordinate with project team.
