Job summary

Corning is seeking a Construction Project Leader within the Advanced Manufacturing Technology group. You will lead capital manufacturing equipment projects, drive installation and startup, and partner with OFC Technology Development and Division Engineering teams to deliver value at Corning Optical Communications sites.

The role requires field leadership, safety oversight, and travel to sites in North America and abroad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in leadership/management for capital manufacturing equipment projects.
• 4+ years of developing Scope of Work, Purchase Orders, and vendor management.
• 4+ years coordinating or leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital manufacturing equipment projects with $1M–$15M scope at OFC sites.
• Oversee installation phase including safety, scheduling, and contractor management.
• Provide day-to-day field leadership and coordinate with plant area leaders and stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites in North America and overseas to ensure successful deployment and startup.
