Job summary

Corning Inc. seeks a Senior Technology Project Leader to drive technology and product development from concept to manufacturing readiness. You will partner with Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product teams to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery within budget using clear communication.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in related leadership, and PMP certification. Advanced degree is a plus; travel up to 25% is expected in a dynamic, innovating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, technology development, or technical project leadership roles.
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
• Advanced degree (MS or MBA) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead execution of assigned technology projects to achieve scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and key milestones.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope and change control to align with goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Facilitate team collaboration and decision-making while addressing resource needs.
• Build understanding of product and process designs to identify risks and gaps.
• Evaluate tradeoffs with technical teams to align execution with scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Communicate status, risks, decisions, and escalation needs clearly to stakeholders.
