Job summary

Spring Meadow Nursery is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager - Construction to support multiple nursery projects, manage budgets, oversee timelines, and coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors. You will help ensure quality, safety, and efficient completion from pre-construction through closeout, contributing to ongoing growth and maintenance of our facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential or commercial construction experience.
• Must know how to read plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Proven leadership and organization experience.
• Bilingual English-Spanish skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with inspections, site visits, and design changes.
• Assist in the design process for each project.
• Communicate effectively with Construction Team and Subcontractors.
• Perform take-off of material quantities to generate project estimates.
• Review quotations based on cost and completeness of scope.
• Update, manage, and distribute drawings and specifications to all parties needed.
• Oversee all phases of the installation process and report status.
