Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, the retail division of Nutrien, seeks an experienced Construction Project Lead to drive safety, scope development, and cost-effective construction practices across turnkey projects. The role requires coordinating with directors and senior managers, reviewing proposals, and guiding decisions on value engineering and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience with a general contractor or a developer managing new turnkey construction projects.
Proficient with budget analysis, data tracking, and project lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

Model safety culture and lead site safety efforts with construction partners.
Lead safety education to ensure Nutrien Safety standards are followed.
Develop scopes of work and coordinate with leadership for RFPs.
Review proposals for accuracy before submission to Construction leadership.
Advise on cost, constructability and materials, and suggest value engineering options.
Negotiate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers for best scope and price.
Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related documents for approval.
Pre-approve payment applications and invoices for accuracy.
Maintain organized project files in paper and electronic formats.
Analyze critical path schedules and identify deviations for improvement.
Monitor construction to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
Attend and lead meetings (Progress, Design Coordination, Payments).
Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and teams.
Engage in process improvements and support cross-group projects.
