Job summary

Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. is seeking a Construction Assistant in Grand Haven, MI. The role involves performing general construction duties at our greenhouse facility, with opportunities in greenhouse projects as well as commercial and residential construction.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe work environments, coordinating with teams, and assisting with jobsite setup. Must have a valid driver’s license and a HS diploma or equivalent, with 6 months in construction preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months construction-related experience.
• Basic hand and power tool experience.
• General understanding of carpentry, plumbing, earthworks, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
• OSHA 10-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sustain safe and healthy work environments.
• Demonstrate adequate communication and proper reporting.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure facilities and critical structures are operational and in good condition.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance measures.
