Job summary

Civil Design Concepts (CDC) is seeking a Construction Administrator to bridge design and completion in a dynamic Charlotte, NC environment. You will influence project success from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating with design teams, clients, and municipalities.

The role requires 3–6 years of construction/project management experience and strong communication; a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 3–6 years of construction/project management experience, preferably in land development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and experienced with project management and scheduling software.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex rules, regulations, and local ordinances.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Manage budgets, schedules, and deadlines while coordinating with agencies and stakeholders.
• Construction Oversight: Prepare estimates, specifications, bid documents, and contracts; manage bidding and contracts for civil sites.
• Communication: Lead daily interactions with clients and staff; coordinate meetings with developers, contractors, and municipalities.
• Technical Support: Review constructability, submittals, and design-build plans; reply to RFIs and provide field direction.
• Documentation & Closeout: Review site/testing reports; oversee closeout with municipalities across projects.
• Mentorship: Develop direct reports and demonstrate leadership internally and publicly.
