Job summary

Russell in Davenport, Iowa is offering a 2027 Construction Project Internship that provides hands-on exposure from preconstruction through closeout. You will work with a Project Manager or Superintendent and contribute to real project activities on an active jobsite.

Interns receive direct mentorship, participate in team meetings with ownership of tasks, and have a clear pathway to full-time PE opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communicators who are eager to learn about the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, and change orders in Procore.
• Assist with scheduling coordination and subcontractor communication.
• Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings and inspections, quality control and progress documentation.
• Help track project progress and organize project files, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Compile punchlists and close out documentation.
• Shadow estimating and preconstruction on active pursuits; gather information for estimates, proposals, drawings and takeoffs.

About The Role

Russell is taking applications for 2027 Construction Project Interns now! Join our project teams for hands‑on exposure to how commercial construction actually gets built — from preconstruction through closeout. This isn't a shadow-and-observe internship. You'll be paired with a Project Manager or Superintendent, carry real responsibilities, and see your work show up on an actual jobsite.

How You'll Contribute

• Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, and change orders in Procore
