Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation invites interns and co-ops to join our Construction Management/Project Controls group. You will participate as an integral team member on diverse projects, learning planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and risk mitigation.

We provide training to develop project management skills from scope and budget through startup, with mentorship to grow into professional PMs capable of managing projects of all sizes.

Qualifications

• Majors in Construction Management, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong academic performance and proof of enrollment.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in future.
• Available for multiple work terms during the program.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program throughout the experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Track and analyze costs and compare to budgets; maintain audit trails.
• Support bid preparation, award, and contract administration processes.
• Monitor contractor productivity, progress, and performance; update schedules.
